County Sligo Data & Reports
The Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) is a statutory plan prepared under the Local Government Reform Act which sets out high-level goals, objectives and actions needed to promote and support economic development and local and community development over the plan’s lifecycle.
In recent years the issue of housing has become an increasingly critical priority for the Sligo community. Issues around housing have been a constant across PPN community engagement and consultation processes, notably the Community Vision for Wellbeing.
This aim of the dashboard is to supply business leaders and the public in general with key indicators, statistics and maps that are easy to interpret. This Dashboard pulls data from a number of sources such as the CSO, Property Price Register and Sligo County Council and allows those using it to get insights into what is happening in Sligo.

The Sustainable Progress Index is a landmark annual report with the potential to enhance the policy decisions of the Irish Government when it comes to progressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The index comprises three dimensions: economy, society and environment. The Sustainable Progress Index 2025 compares 14 EU countries across all UN SDGs, assesses their performance on each individual SDG, creates a ranking table for performance overall and concludes with some policy considerations.

Social Justice Ireland Launches Sustainable Progress Index for 2025
The Sustainable Progress Index is a landmark annual report with the potential to enhance the policy decisions of the Irish Government when it comes to progressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The index comprises three dimensions: economy, society and environment. The Sustainable Progress Index 2025 compares 14 EU countries across all UN SDGs, assesses their performance on each individual SDG, creates a ranking table for performance overall and concludes with some policy considerations. The report uses 83 indicators across the 17 goals to analyse performance.
