As the PPN grows and evolves, it is important that our community representatives and members are informed about the core purpose of the network and how it can best support the voice of the Sligo community. In order to support the PPN representatives and member groups to best represent the community sector in Sligo, the PPN Secretariat have instigated a unique, localised training programme which, it is hoped, will create a better understanding of how the PPN works, where the key opportunities lie for communities influencing change and how the PPN can ensure that it’s work reflects the needs of the community group sector in the county.
While the training programme has a focus on PPN representation, it is also important to us that our broader membership has an understanding of how the network operates, particularly any group members who might wish to get more involved with public participation in the future.
To that end, the Secretariat would like to offer a few available spaces on the training programme to participants from our member groups. Places are limited, so if you are interested in attending all or just a selection of the sessions (full outline attached) please email us back and let us know.
Kind Regards
Sarah Wetherald
