One of the main reasons that people feel excluded from decision making is because the ‘normal’ approach to communication, consultation and engagement can often, unintentionally, be prohibitive to inclusion.
Sligo PPN has worked with a range of groups around the county who are often labelled as ‘hard to reach’ to find out what policy makers and decision makers can do to ensure that their methods of consultation better meet the real needs of the community.
