Enniscrone Surf Lifesaving was set up 2.5 years ago. We are a sub committee of Sligo Area Water Safety Committee. Surf Lifesaving is a multi-disciplined sport. It has been developed to improve the standard of lifeguarding and assist lifesavers save lives. It injects a lifesaving skill back into a community, the training is all volunteer based making it a special activity that people want to be involved in and get so much enjoyment from. In addition to the health benefits of being involved in any sport, Surf Lifesaving helps participants gain confidence & awareness in the water through sea swimming, board paddling, safety talks, lifesaving skills etc. Due to the many disciplines & skills involved, there is a place for all to be involved.
