CLÁR (Ceantair Laga Árd-Riachtanais) is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in rural areas that have experienced significant levels of de-population. This funding, €11 million available, assists in building the resilience of these rural communities.
The programme will be delivered through the following three separate Measures:
Deadlines: 23rd May (As the dates for Measure 1 are not yet set, we are using the first deadline date of all the measures, see below for more detail)
Measure 1 is administered by the Local Authorities therefore application and expressions of interest forms will be available from Local Authorities directly. The deadline for Local Authorities or County Councils to submit these applications to the Department is 13th June 2025. The Local Authorities will set their own deadline date for receipt of applications from prospective applicants to them. Please contact your Local Authority to find out their deadline date.
Note that proposed projects must be in CLÁR areas, see image below.
Measure 2 is administered directly by the Department. Applications must be submitted by 23rd May 2025.
Measure 3 is administered directly by the Department. Applications must be submitted by 13th June 2025 .
