Coill na nÓg is a native tree & hedgerow planting initiative of ‘Biodiversity in Schools’ in partnership with eFlow.
Each winter FREE tree packs are delivered to schools to create mini-woodlands and native hedgerows. Tree packs consist of 8 native trees (bare-root whips) to create a mini-woodland. Hedgerow packs consist of 25 native trees to set 8m of single-row hedge. Schools will also be given access to supporting resources including videos and worksheets to help them plant and get to know their trees.
‘Coill na nÓg’ is Irish for the ‘Children’s Forest’ and each year this woodland will continue to grow and expand across Ireland. After planting has been completed in 2024, our Coill na nÓg will have grown to over 6,000 native trees & shrubs.
Deadline: 12 noon, Thurs 24th October 2024
