Sligo PPN has worked with the fabulous Digital Training Institute to develop the Sligo PPN Social Media Academy. It aims to support our member groups and help them become proficient in all aspects of social media. This way, they can support the development of their community organisations. Additionally, it allows them to operate in a society that has become so reliant on online communications.
Sligo PPN staff and Joanne Sweeney from the Digital Training Institute organised a series of mentor clinics to support groups with their individual queries and ideas.
They also offered one-to-one advice about raising the profile of the group’s organisations. These mentor clinics were aimed towards organisations that need support in taking the next step in escalating social media as a tool for group development.
The academy is a combination of online videos and downloadable guides in five areas. These will give you a valuable way on using social media to enhance your group’s operation. We invite you to go through the five areas below or choose which social platform you want to learn more about.
The onset of Covid-19 has hugely accelerated the online activity, and now more than ever, community groups need additional support to operate successfully in the online world. Sligo PPN is delighted to share a workshop held by the Sligo Volunteer Centre, featuring Sligo’s own MagnumLady, Val Robus. Here she gives hints and tips about making the most of social media.
