Sligo PPN Membership Map

There is so much happening across the community network in Sligo. Hundreds of groups are active every day hosting, creating and running programmes and initiatives that support and are of interest to people across the whole county. However, it can be difficult to find out who is doing what, and where.

Based on requests from members at our 2023 Annual Meeting, Sligo PPN have been working to create an interactive map that shows all our member groups operating across Sligo. You will instantly be able to see where they are based, who to contact and what they do.

You can search for groups operating in your local area or you can search by interest: want to join a bowls club, aspire to take to the stage, learn more about local history or clean up your local beach – there is something for everyone.

We hope that this new tool supports people to take that step to become active in their local community. The face of Sligo has changed a lot over the last 10 years. Our community has diversified – we have lots of migrants who have made Sligo home as well as many workers utilising the flexibility that remote work has offered to move West. While these new families have lots to do in terms of making a home, starting work and finding schools, the process of embedding themselves in the local community can often take a bit more time – we hope that this map helps them to connect.
