All our courses are QQI accredited, flexible, helps students explore career options, develop practical work – related skills and build their confidence. It supports you in securing and completing work experience placements in an area that is of interest to you and an area that you wish to continue in Further Education or employment. Personal Development – Team Working Skills/ Confidence Building Community Participation Goal setting / individual planning Progression into further training/ education and employment Practical skills – independent skills, interview preparation, customer service, work place safety, work experience, computer skills and much more Training Times: Monday to Thursday 9am 4-pm & Friday 9am – 1pm, with 2 x 15 minutes tea breaks and 1 x 30 minute lunch break. Tea & Coffee is provided. Why study with us?Here in NLN Sligo we have many additional supports in centre: Resource Teachers if you wish to attend. They assess your needs on an individual basis for your Maths and literacy skills, if you wish to carry out some resource class time, you will be timetabled to meet with them once a week for approximately 40 minutes. On-site Student Support Officer (Rehabilitation Officer) who assists in Individual Planning – e.g. if you wish to complete your Driver Theory Test we can timetable a specific time each week where you can concentrate on your Theory test study / another example if you wish to carry out some work experience in Veterinary Nursing, we can make contact with the local Vets to see if this can be done – We would help you with your CV and cover letter to apply for Work Experience with a particular Vets close to your home. You would have continuous support from the Tutor and Employer at all times. On – Site Psychologist who is there to support any students who require additional support. Smaller Classes – allows for more support from the tutor on a daily basis Individual planning (Person Centred Approach) – every student works at their own pace allowing for a stress free environment Certified Training (QQI accredited) Build up your IT Skills Work Experience available Application Process is very simple – Complete an application Form and get your GP to complete a Health Report Form Free Training (eligible criteria applies)
