Our recently formed organization is made up of members from our village, which houses 48 independent living residents. We take part in activities – some of which are organized by the facilities co-ordinator, who comes in most Wednesdays for an hour and a half. We also have a garden – with a poly tunnel and a great group of gardeners. An open day is held every year where the organically grown flowers and vegetables are sold, raffles are also held to raise funds for the upkeep of the garden. We take part every year in the “go for life” games in the IT. Unfortunately we don’t have a room big enough to allow us practice our Kurling skills, and have to rent a hall outside the Village, to enable us prepare for the competitions. This year we took part in The Big Hello weekend, and it was very successful. We have to thank the PPN for their generous grant, and this has given us the incentive to go ahead next year, and make it an even bigger event. We are a very vibrant, enthusiastic and caring community, working to enhance the quality of life for all our residents.
