Our group is a research team of adults with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence who do research on relationships and sexuality. We initially formed the research team to do a one year project as part of Jessica’s PhD in Trinity College on relationships and sexuality for people with intellectual disabilities. We met in the Northside Community Centre every fortnight for a year and researched topics we were interested in using creative methods. We have since 15 months after) stayed as a research team. We have presented at one international research conference in Dublin, held a research seminar event in Trinity college and held two research seminars in ATU Sligo, here we have shared our research findings. We have published an academic blog about our findings too. Now we are working on an international collaboration with a university in Cincinnati in America, for now we are working online together. We have been invited to present our way of working at the International Creative Research Methods in Manchester in September.
