We’re a chess club that meets every Monday 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the Merville Community Centre in Maugheraboy. We are open to all abilities and ages 7+. We subsidise training courses for our members and send teams to the Mick Germaine Cup (u16 teams) and the Irish Club Championships. We organise groups of players to travel to and participate in tournaments around Ireland. We develop our young players to prepare them for tournament play. We support our preferred charity, the Sligo Food and Furnitute bank, by holding periodic charity tournaments where players bring food instead of money which we then donate.
