Sligo Comhairle na nÓg is the recognised participation structure for young people aged 12 – 18 years in County Sligo. It aims to give young people a voice in matters which affect them directly, through consultation and links with key decision makers and stakeholders. It supports young people to have their say in service development and delivery in their locality. One young person from Sligo Comhairle na nÓg represents Sligo on the Comhairle National Executive Committee which meets monthly in Dublin working closely with the participation team in the Dept of Children and Youth Affairs on the national Dail na nÓg topic.
