Sligo Concert Band was founded in 1990. It is an amateur wind band with brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. For almost 30 years Sligo Concert Band has provided musical entertainment for its audiences, both indoor and outdoors. Our repertoire includes many classical favourites, movie tunes, jazz and modern pop along with traditional marches and church pieces. As well as many street performances around Sligo we perform at Strandhill Show, Lissadell Country and Garden Show, Strandhill People’s Market, Rosses Point Shanty Festival and Sligo Fleadh. We also perform in County Fermanagh on occasion and join with bands from that county. Our membership is drawn from Sligo, Leitrim, Fermanagh, Donegal and Mayo and other counties from time to time.
