Sligo Drama Circle is a long-standing amateur drama group in Sligo. We have a long tradition in amateur drama, stretching back many decades to the era of the Sligo Unknown Players. For the past number of years, we have put on 2 – 3 productions per year of many different kinds for performance in different venues around the town. Such performances are an important outlet for the amateur drama movement and contribute greatly to the vibrant cultural life in Sligo. As a community-based organisation, we work in close co-operation with other groups such as: Everyman Players Sligo Fun Company Sligo Musical Society Sligo Youth Theatre Blue Raincoat Theatre Company The Hawk’s Well Theatre In the spirit of co-operation with these other locally based community organisations, we loan costumes, props and sets which we have painstakingly gathered over the years. Our Market Yard facility is also used by other groups for rehearsals.
