The club was established to enable people from all over to find out more about our local history and heritage, as well as share their own information, experience, memories, etc. The online aspect allows emigrants and those with family roots in Sligo to feel closer to home, while the lectures and discussions allow local people of all ages to participate. The second main aim is the preservation and promotion of historic and heritage sites around the county.
