Wendy Lyons

Nominated by Hazelwood Heritage Society

I was elected to the last Heritage Forum. The forum is an advisory body ONLY to the Heritage office. I think that an increase in REPs would give wider representation, please if you agree support this proposal when you vote. I have attended all but 1 meetings of the Forum. I have been an advocate for a new county museum as I think that it is critical infrastructure. The Community Archaeologist initiative has been very successful as people come forward with information and artefacts throughout the county. I have been very involved in community development for years organising Enterprise Units in Collooney, 1798 commemorations and many other smaller projects. I have always had an interest in history and conservation, I am on the Sligo Field Club committee. I have worked in building conservation for over forty years. Thank you for your vote.
