Sligo town was recently selected by the Department Of Tourism as one of 9 pilots to recruit a dedicated Evening and Night time Economy manager. The position is held within the BID and operates from the Sligo BID Tourist Office. With a broader remit than the Purple FLag team’s work, one of the mandatory actions is the formation of a Sligo taskforce that is representative of local stakeholders working across a variety of disciplines.
