2024 sees Sligo PPN celebrate 10 years in operation. Over this time the community of Sligo has undergone a lot of change. Join us to celebrate the diversity of our community, the traditional and the new.

The event will start with the short formalities of the Sligo PPN plenary, profiling the work done over 2024 and introducing our new PPN representatives. We will also be asking you what you want Sligo PPN to focus on in 2025 to best support the community sector. As part of formalities, we would like to let all members know that our governance documents can be found here.

On the night we will be asking attendees to pass our constitution for the year ahead and to endorse newly elected PPN representatives by a show of hands. If there are any issues with our governance documents, please let us know at ppn@sligococo.ie.

This will be followed by a celebration of the Sligo community through song, dance, performance, food and chat. Some of the amazing acts to entertain you include Sligo Gospel Choir, Sligo Congolese and Cameroonian societies, Aremoja Women’s group, Diversity Sligo and some amazing young jazz musicians. You can even give your brain a workout with Sligo Chess club. We hope to add to this list as we continue to reach out to member groups. With food provided by Sligo Global Kitchen, this will be a fantastic way to spend a Friday evening…and you’ll even make it home for the Toy Show!
