In December 2020 Sligo PPN hosted an information session in partnership with Sligo County Council regarding the proposed new N17 road development between Knock and Collooney.
As you may be aware from local media and other correspondence, the process has since moved on and the feasible route options have been further refined. To update the community on these developments, the two organisations are collaborating again to hold a public information session next week on Tuesday 14th September 2021 at 7 pm. Please note that this session is primarily for information purposes only. Though questions will be possible through the chat function and presenters will attempt to get through as many as possible, because of the limited time frame and the number of people we expect to join, we are asking that questions of a personal nature and specific to the impact on individuals are not raised on the night. It is hoped that the content presented will address many of the initial queries attendees may have, and, if not, will equip people with enough general information to decide on the most appropriate next steps in terms of outstanding questions they may still have and the best way to engage with the project team going forward.
Specific aspects covered in the session will include;
· A reminder of the process;
· Preliminary Options Assessment and a very brief overview of the factors which influenced the selection of refined Feasible Options (The Short List);
· What is happening now;
· Update on Public Consultation;.
· Current Timelines;
